The 2023 Music Festivals schedule is sure to have something for everyone! From bluegrass, blues, jazz, jam, hip hop, metal, country, electronic, and of course rock, no matter where you go and who you see be sure to check out as much music as you possibly can!
Below are some music festivals from February 2023 through October 2023. A lot of them are camping music festivals, while some in the larger cities would make camping at the festivals a little more difficult, but where there is a will, there is a way!

February 25 – 26, 2023 (Tempe, AZ)
Innings Festival 2023 is a 2-Day Spring Training celebration featuring top musical talent, MLB greats, baseball-themed activities, and delectable local bites. Much like (insert name of famous sportsball team), Arizona has been on a hot streak lately when it comes to picking up new festivals with the Innings Festival in Tempe as the latest recruit. Produced by the folks behind Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits, the two-day fest takes place during Spring Training in Arizona, mixing up music with famous ballplayers over the weekend.
March 10 – 19, 2023 (Austin, TX)
The SXSW Music Festival brings together artists, industry professionals, and music lovers from around the world to make connections, elevate their careers, and celebrate the magic of live music – from legendary performers to the most exciting new talent.
New, developing, and established Showcasing Artists enhance their careers by reaching new audiences and attendees at the SXSW Music Festival each year. Showcases are curated by South By Southwest® in collaboration with record labels, booking agencies, management and PR firms, export offices, publishers, media outlets, lifestyle brands, festivals, and more.
March 16 – 19, 2023 (Fruitland Park, FL)
This is what you’ve been needing! 3 days of rocking out and throwing down on the campground with some of the best names in hard rock! There will be a special one-of-a-kind performance, artist-hosted events and parties, Theme nights, games, and great times and unforgettable experiences with old and new friends alike! Are you ready to throwdown? No need for a backstage pass when you have that kind of access! All tickets with the exception of 1-day tickets are the same price regardless of how you decide to throw down! RV, Camper, SUV, etc all the same price just set up in different areas.
March 18 – 19, 2023 (Tampa, FL)
After a successful run in the spring training mecca of Arizona, the Innings Festival will expand to another temple of baseball. The latest edition of the Innings Festival is a 2-day fest at Raymond James Festival in Tampa so be prepared for plenty of music and sports.
March 22 – 26, 2023 (Boise, ID)
Boise in Idaho may sound like an odd city choice for an epic festival, but the Treefort Festival continues to impress us year after year. Treefort typically takes place the week after SXSW to take advantage of artists heading back to the Northwest. Short lines and a welcoming city continually keep Treefort at the top of our list. Since its inception, the festival has grown in size to include film, yoga, beer, and comedy.
March 31 – April 2, 2023 (Abilene, TX)
The 12th Anniversary of Outlaws & Legends Music Festival, benefitting Ben Richey Boys Ranch, will return to The Back Porch of Texas on March 31 and April 1, 2023.
Hosted by country music artist Mark Powell, the festival features the best in country music over 2 days! Past artists have included: Merle Haggard, Charlie Daniels, Kris Kristofferson, Jamey Johnson, Jerry Jeff Walker, Robert Earl Keen, Dwight Yoakum, Kevin Costner and many more. This year will again sellout with 30,000 total patrons, 450 RVs, 60 Tailgate Packages and 1,000 VIP patrons.
April 7 – 9, 2023 (Iowa City, IA)
There’s nothing quite like the Mission Creek Festival which combines literature and music with community events in a number of unique venues across downtown Iowa City. The nearly week long event has a focus on quality, independent-minded sounds, words, and events and strongly believes that intimacy is key to the experience.
April 14 – 16, 2023 (St. Petersburg, FL)
THE TAMPA BAY BLUES FESTIVAL RETURNS TO VINOY WATERFRONT PARK, ST PETERSBURG, FLORIDA ON APRIL 14, 15, & 16, 2023

April 14 – 23, 2023 (Coachella, CA)
Like a barometer always reading a temperature of awesome, the traditional kickoff to the summer festival season is dominated by Coachella. The glitz and glamour of Los Angeles migrates east to the Indio desert for back-to-back weekends of the biggest names in music. What started as a small electronic festival in the desert has transformed into a cultural touchstone for the festival season.
April 20 – 23, 2023 (Ozark, AR)
The Backwoods Festival is back! Moving to the fabled Ozark Mountains, Backwoods now takes up residence on Mulberry Mountain, an iconic festival venue. The lineup features some of the best jam and electronic music currently touring the United States along with a cozy camping atmosphere.
May 5 – 7, 2023 (New Brockton, AL)
Step into an illuminating world and witness art come to life in a mind-altering wonderland with atmospheric lighting, live and digital art, premier production, and interactive installations. Jump into the water surrounded by white sandy beaches and palm trees while DJs throw down at the pristine waterpark.
This annual event is held at Bama Slam, a picturesque venue known for holding large-scale events like Bama Jam, which brought in over 100,000 attendees annually. Situated on 1600 private acres, this venue is a must-see with an indoor saloon featuring a full bar and stage, aquatic inflatable aqua park at the lake, crystal clear waterpark with zip-line, rope swings, and waterslides, on-site showers and bathrooms, general store, miles of trails, camping upgrades including full RV hookups, and much more!
May 5 – 7, 2023 (Atlanta, GA)
Drawing in nearly 40,000 attendees, Shaky Knees Festival brings a highly desired indie scene to the streets of downtown Atlanta, Georgia. In an era where most festival headliners feature a variation of EDM/DJ acts, Shaky Knees lives to show another side of modern day music.
With more than 60 bands each year Shaky Knees is a rock-lover’s dream. Since its inception in 2013, Shaky Knees has featured a diverse lineup ranging from world-renowned acts to up-and-coming artists.
May 18 – 21, 2023 (Joshua Tree, CA)
The 21st Annual Spring Joshua Tree Music Festival is happening May 18-21, 2023!
Joshua Tree Music Festival is: Supreme and diverse live music experience to feed the body, mind, and soul. Deep dive workshops to uplift and inspire. Random acts of mindfulness invite you to interact and connect. Spontaneous eruptions of gratitude. That friendly familial spirit that we all know and love.

May 19 – 21, 2023 (Gulf Shores, AL)
Hangout takes music festivalling to the beach with this springtime party held mid-May on the golden sands of Gulf Shores, Alabama. The huge lineup of just about every genre frequently gives a sneak peek to what’s coming this summer in the United States. As far as we know, this is the only festival in the world where you can watch the main stage from a hot tub.
May 25 – 28, 2023 (Cumberland, MD)
The legendary bluegrass artist Del McCoury curates this annual festival at the picture-perfect Allegany County Fairgrounds in Maryland. Camping, dancing, and of course, plenty of bluegrass set the stage for a Memorial Day weekend of world-class collaborations, special guest sit-ins, informal workshops, and late-night picking sessions.
May 26 – 28, 2023 (Chillicothe, IL)
From chilled-out late-night campfire jams to beat-busting dance shows, the party at Summer Camp goes long past the end of scheduled performances. ‘Scampers’ can apply to become camp counselors which means free tickets, free camping, and free beer in exchange for being an official party ambassador to the other attendees. Our resident festival expert calls Summer Camp — ‘the best festival of the Memorial Day Weekend.’
May 27 – 29, 2023 (Detroit, MI)
Long before the onslaught of the modern day electronic festival scene, the Movement Festival has brought the vibe to downtown Detroit over Memorial Day weekend. Running under a few different names since 2000, this festival brings in top talent to Hart Plaza and delivers an EDM urban experience far different than any other you’ll find over the summer.
June 1 – 3, 2023 (Oak Hill, WV)
A music festival with a waterpark? That’s not all you’ll find at the Mountain Music Fest held at America’s largest adventure resort. There are 35 miles of hiking trails, a slackline park, workshops on a variety of subjects, and oh yeah, tons of great jam band music to delight your way through the weekend.
June 3 – 4, 2023 (Philadelphia, PA)
Roots Picnic, named after its founders and iconic hip-hop legends, The Roots, takes place at Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park. Expanding into New York, they have made it clear the festival will always keep its roots in Philadelphia where it has helped grow the cultural landscape. Although founded by hip-hop icons, the festival features a diverse lineup of R&B, rap, and indie alternatives.
June 3 – 4, 2023 (Atlantic City, NJ)
The Atlantic City Beer and Music Festival will keep you having a good time for 2 days straight. This festival not only features hundreds of brews but also food and top-notch musical entertainment.
June 8 – 11, 2023 (Myrtle Beach, SC)

June 8 – 11, 2023 (Nashville, TN)
CMA Music Festival brings the best of country music to one of the largest music festivals to come to Nashville, Tennessee. Presented by the Country Music Association, this four-day festival is chock full of the best country musicians in the nation. Attendees can expect top-notch performances by acclaimed country artists as well as opportunities for autographs and pictures.
June 14 – 17, 2023 (North Lawrence, OH)
Joel and I started The Country Fest back in the summer of 2009, with little connections and knowledge about music festivals. With some luck, a lot of hard work and the constant drive to improve our festival, we have grown to be a one of the largest privately owned festivals in the U.S.A.
We are 100% family owned and operated right here in NE Ohio. By our overwhelming corporate support and fan commitment, we are excited to be celebrating our 10 year anniversary this year.
June 15 – 18, 2023 (Manchester, TN)
Over the last decade, no other US music festival has captured the spirit of large greenfield gatherings like the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. Bonnaroo burst onto the scene grabbing headlines along with our hearts as we watched it grow from a scrappy newcomer to a full-fledged anchor of the summer. It may not be the oldest or the largest, but Bonnaroo is the spirit of the quintessential American music festival. Long live The Roo.
June 15 – 18, 2023 (Telluride, CO)
Every June, Festivarians make the annual pilgrimage to Telluride. Nestled in the rugged San Juan Mountains of Southwestern Colorado, the Telluride Bluegrass Festival is not only an iconic representation of all kinds of music but a place of awe-inspiring beauty; somewhere you can dance under the solstice sun and embrace your truest self. It certainly doesn’t get better than this.
June 17 – 18, 2023 (Quincy, WA)
Beyond Wonderland is heading to the legendary Gorge for the electronic dance music party of the summer! It’s everything you love about the festival, but with camping in one of the best live music venues in the world.
June 21 – 24, 2023 (Owensboro, KY)
ROMP Festival returns to Owensboro’s Yellow Creek Park, a 150-acre facility famous for its nature trails, winding creek, fishing lake, and sweeping tree lines. A full line-up of artist-led instrument workshops takes place throughout the day, as ROMP artists interact with fans and players of all ages and skill levels.
June 22 – 24, 2023 (Cadott, WI)
Held in late June every year in Cadott, Wisconsin, Country Fest holds the title as the largest country music camping event in the United States. With performances from some of the top country music artists in the country, Country Fest also features regional bands playing on multiple stages throughout the 380-acre natural amphitheater venue.
June 22 – 25, 2023 (Stanley, ID)
It’s four nights of live music and camping in the scenic Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho!
June 23 – 25, 2023 (Greenfield, MA)
The Green River Festival is Western Massachusetts’ signature summer event. For one weekend every June, Greenfield Community College hosts an outrageous celebration of world-class music, great local food, beer & wine, a handmade craft fair, and lots of family games and activities. We top it all off with a spectacular Saturday night balloon glow.
June 23 – 25, 2023 (Eau Claire, WI)
Bluegrass band, Pert Near Sandstone, hosts the Blue Ox Music Festival just outside of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The Whispering Pines Campground brings back festies each year with its hammock-handy shade trees and the peace of the central pond. This small-sized festival is beloved for its cozy size and excellent bluegrass lineup.
June 26 – 28, 2023 (Noblesville, IN)
Calling all Deadheads! Join us for a safe night of good vibes at Sleepybear Campground- Indy’s Ultimate Concert Experience!
We’ll be celebrating all things Dead & Co. with two (2) nights of camping & tailgating right across the street from Ruoff Music Center. Or as we like to call it, Deer Creek.
As many of our “seasoned ” hippies know, commercial development has slowly taken over the land surrounding Sleepybear, resulting in 50% less space for camping & parking than the previous years. Sleepybear Campground still has its same great location, unbeatable vibes, convenient amenities & friendly staff- just much smaller than before.
June 29 – July 2, 2023 (Quincy, CA)
Situated in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California, High Sierra Music Festival boasts a family-friendly atmosphere packed with artists traversing all musical genres. The eclectic lineup at the festival is backed by a picturesque venue surrounded by a mountainous landscape and national forests. More than just music is offered at the High Sierra with yoga areas, audience-participation parades, children’s areas, and more.
June 29 – July 3, 2023 (New Orleans, LA)
Known as ‘the party with a purpose.’ Essence Music Festival got its start in 1995, celebrating the 25th anniversary of its namesake magazine Essence. Taking place in the heart of New Orleans, attendees can choose to purchase tickets for the series of concerts at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome or partake in the free daytime activities around the city.
July 1 – 4, 2023 (Portland, OR)
The Waterfront Blues Festival is committed to providing a world-class event to the community of Portland and beyond that presents diverse musical arts, culture, and entertainment. The festival has been committed to using its broad platform to create awareness and support of hunger relief efforts for 30 years.
July 6 – 9, 2023 (Rhinelander, WI)
The Hodag Country Festival has been proud to host some of the best country music artists since its inception in 1978. In addition, we’ve had our band contest every year since 1981.
The Hodag Country Festival has been featured on TV programs like Discover Wisconsin and ranked among the favorite destinations in the state.
July 7 – 9, 2023 (Marshfield, MA)
Levitate’s signature summertime celebration of music and art that brings the Levitate community together and brings world-class music and art to our area, as well as providing a platform to share our community’s talented musicians and artists with the world.
July 7 – 8, 2023 (Des Moines, IA)
For over a decade, the non-profit 80/35 festival has been filling downtown Des Moines with live music. Taking advantage of road touring artists that pass through on Interstates 80 and 35, this two-day fest always has a solid lineup of indie rock and other genres to delight the fans.
As they say on their website: ‘We believe in the power of music. To wake the spirit of the people and stir the street.’
July 13 – 15, 2023 (Cadott, WI)
There are rock fests and then there’s the Rock Fest. Now in its 25th year, Rock Fest in Wisconsin features the very best of active and classic rock names in the history of the genre.
Aerosmith, Iron Maiden, Avenged Sevenfold, Kiss, Motley Crue, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Kid Rock, Shinedown, Five Finger Death Punch, Rob Zombie, and Korn are just a few of the names to touch down here.
And with 7,000 campsites, you know it’s going to be a crazy weekend.
July 13 – 16, 2023 (Chicago, IL)
The Windy City Smokeout is a BBQ and country music festival featuring three days of live country music and beer in downtown Chicago. And ribs. So many ribs.

July 14 – 15, 2023 (Prior Lake, MN)
Originally known as the Lakefront Jazz & Blues Festival, Prior Lake Rotary’s Lakefront Music Fest was established in 2010 and has grown into one of the largest outdoor music festivals in the metro area of the Twin Cities.
In 2012, the Rotary Club expanded the festival to two nights of music: one night devoted to country; the other to classic rock. Since then, the Lakefront Music Fest has seen its popularity and attendance steadily increase each year. Last year, more than 30,000 attended the two-day Fest.
July 14 – 15, 2023 (Grand Rapids, MI)
Upheaval is a two-day rock music festival in Grand Rapids, Michigan during the middle of July.
July 14 – 16, 2023 (Piercy, CA)
Connecting music and nature, Northern Nights Music Festival is one of the most sought-after events held at Cook’s Valley Campground in Northern California. Promoted as a music and arts, camping, yoga, and cannabis retreat, the festival features a varied lineup of primarily electronic artists.
Still a small festival by industry standards, Northern Lights tops out at 6,000 attendees. The selective attendee limit and festival grounds play a large role in Northern Nights success.
The campgrounds are home to swimming holes and the largest Redwood grove in the nation where camping is allowed.
July 14 – 16, 2023 (Mansfield, OH)
One of the most unique rock festivals in the country, INKCARCERATION is truly a festival to be experienced. Featuring some of the top names in rock, alternative, and metal music on two outdoor stages along with tattoo artists from all over the country, Reformatory tours, gourmet food, camping, and lots more.
July 20 – 22, 2023 (Cincinnati, OH)
Originally called the Ohio Valley Jazz Festival when it was first held in 1962, the Macy’s Music Festival has grown and evolved into a spectacular two-day event on Cincinnati’s riverfront.
Starting out as an all-jazz concert, it has evolved and grown into a three-day festival featuring great music from the hottest stars in R&B, jazz, soul, and hip-hop, as well as up-and-coming artists.
Past performers include Aretha Franklin, Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Luther Vandross, Gerald Levert, Patti Labelle, New Edition, Earth Wind and Fire, Lakeside, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Janet Jackson, and many others.
July 20 – 23, 2023 (Patchogue, NY)
Celebrating its 14th Anniversary, The Great South Bay Music Festival is Long Island’s longest running, and largest four-day music, art & cultural event.
Situated on the magnificent Great South Bay, it features over 55 performers on 4 stages, presenting legends, as well as local emerging artists in classic rock, jazz, jam-band, country, folk, zydeco, hip hop, and funk.
For handmade arts & crafts lovers, and shoppers, Great South Bay’s Artisan Market features a diverse collection of interesting handmade and imported creations.

Big Dub is much more than just a music festival; Big Dub is an interactive community that strives towards strengthening not only interpersonal bonds but also giving people the tools to achieve balance and wholeness in their everyday lives.
Big Dub relies heavily on the vibes & nature of its community embracing core values like radical self-expression, gifting, and participation.

July 28 – 30, 2023 (Newport, RI)
The 60-year-strong Newport Folk Festival takes place annually in Rhode Island and features a lineup of diverse musicians guided by the spirit of kindred folk tradition.
The festival has a historic reputation of artists collaborating together on music playing homage to current social justice initiatives. Quickly selling out each year, the Newport Folk Festival is also known `for revealing surprise artists and collaborations.
August 3 – 6, 2023 (Chicago, IL)
It’s loud. It’s messy. It’s Lollapalooza. You got to hand it Perry Farrell, the bizarre and quirky visionary who reinvented the American music festival with Lollapalooza, first taking it on the road in the last century and then putting down stakes in Chicago.
Despite a firm homebase in the Windy City, Lolla hasn’t forgotten its traveling roots with editions in South America and Europe.
August 3 – 6, 2023 (Appleton, WI)
What happens when you combine a vibrant, one-mile stretch of Downtown Appleton, Wisconsin, with 200 up-and-coming artists performing live, FREE 100% original music over four days? You get to experience an unforgettable music-filled weekend with over 900 incredible shows!
August 3 – 5, 2023 (Detroit Lakes, MN)
80,000 rowdy country fans descend on the tiny town of Detroit Lakes at this blowout. There are ten campgrounds to stake out your territory with different areas for different lifestyles. And better leave the kids at home for this one — as the website states: ‘we do not recommend that you bring your children.
August 4 – 6, 2023 (Newport, RI)
Breaking ground since the mid-1950s, the Newport Jazz Festival has a storied history rivaling that of any other American festival hosting artists like Herbie Hancock, Led Zeppelin, Frank Sinatra, Muddy Waters, The Allman Brothers, and Miles Davis.
Its current incarnation is three full days of jazz on four unique stages on the grounds at Fort Adams State Park in Rhode Island.
August 4 – 6, 2023 (Sweet Home, OR)
Combining summertime fun and country music, Oregon Jamboree is a premier three-day camping festival in the pacific northwest. With 2 stages and over 25 acts, it presents an entertaining weekend for local festival attendees.
Produced by the nonprofit Sweet Home Economic Development Group, the proceeds from the festival benefit local economic development and projects in Linn County of Oregon.
August 4 – 5, 2023 (Elkin, NC)
Reevestock offers something for everyone in the family and looks to benefit the community in every way possible. Great music for all ages, food, and drinks made available by your favorite restaurants, and even activities for the kids.
Music helps to bring us all together and that’s what Reevestock is all about. Make a note in your calendar – Reevestock runs the first weekend in August every year, and we hope to see you for some great music and fun.
August 4 – 5, 2023 (Johnstown, PA)
The festival’s roots go all the way back to 1989 when the Johnstown Area Heritage Association (JAHA) worked with community groups to produce the 100-year commemoration of the Great Johnstown Flood of 1889.
One of the most popular events of the year-long commemoration was a large street fair in the historic Cambria City neighborhood.
August 11 – 13, 2023 (San Francisco, CA)
A bike valet, wine-tasting tent, and local organic food vendors are just a couple of signs that you’re in San Francisco at Outside Lands.
The quirky and wonderful Golden Gate Park hosts a wide range of acts and has quickly grown into a highlight of the San Fran summer. Bring a hoodie with you. Just because it’s August doesn’t mean that the fog won’t join the party.
August 11 – 13, 2023 (Telluride, CO)
The Telluride Jazz Festival is a three-day and night live music event centered around jazz that is held on the first weekend of August every year.

Blues in Bisbee is a fundraising event benefiting Easterseals Blake Foundation (EBF). Proceeds support the more than 1,000 children, families and adults the organization serves annually in Cochise County. EBF is best known for their programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, but also provides behavioral health services and have recently opened a resource closet for children in foster care in Cochise County.

Red River Folk Festival at Aspencade takes place across three days and three venues in and around Red River, NM, during the anticipated aspens’ changing to their autumn colors.
